Lamborghini Fights Its Reputation With A 10-Year Bet On Reliability

Lamborghini Fights Its Reputation With A 10-Year Bet On Reliability
  • Lamborghini launches a new extended warranty program lasting up to 10 years.
  • Current models include 5-year maintenance and 8-year hybrid battery coverage.

Italian cars, and particularly the high-performance kind, have long carried a reputation for flair rather than faultless reliability, yet Lamborghini wants its supercar owners to feel confident their machines will keep running as beautifully as they look.

To give them this assurance, the carmaker offers an extended warranty program of up to 10 years from the car’s first registration. Perhaps for the first time, owners can have the confidence that Lamborghini will have their back.

The company has introduced a suite of new after-sales services and products designed to protect what it calls the “integrity, performance, and emotional power” of its cars.

The goal is to preserve each vehicle as what the company describes as a “timeless piece of art,” something meant to endure long after its odometer stops being the focus.

Currently, the Lamborghini Temerario, Revuelto, and Urus SE include five years of scheduled maintenance. Additionally, its hybridized models include an eight-year warranty on the high-voltage batteries.

Owners who want even more piece of mind can then opt for the 10-year Selezione Warranty Extension program. Lamborghini hasn’t yet disclosed what the additional coverage will cost, though given the clientele, it’s unlikely to deter many.

Polo Storico

Even when a Lamborghini runs out of warranty, the brand has the facilities and expertise to keep it on the roads for decades to come.

It operates a division dedicated to the preservation and restoration of its historic models, known as Polo Storico. It also has a Certification of Authenticity program aimed at protecting the legacy of rare models and enhancing their value.

“Lamborghini After-Sales embraces a holistic approach to customer care, ensuring that every vehicle retains its original qualities and performance over time, thereby safeguarding – and even increasing – its value,” Lamborghini head of after sales Giuliano Cassataro said.

“Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their cars. Through our programs, this journey is designed to last forever: from the very first day of ownership to the point at which the vehicle qualifies for certification as a historic model.”
