Honda is taking a decisive step into the future of electric mobility, recently releasing new imagery of its EV FUN Concept electric motorcycle undergoing extensive road testing across Europe.
The mid-sized naked bike is designed to challenge the perception of electric vehicles, with a dedicated focus on delivering the exhilarating ride and “fun factor” that has long been a hallmark of the Honda brand. First unveiled at the EICMA show, the bike is a key part of Honda’s multi-faceted approach to achieving zero-emissions mobility.
Development is led by veteran engineer Masatsugu Tanaka, who has over two decades of experience with iconic gas-powered motorcycles such as the CBR series, Gold Wing, and Africa Twin. Tanaka’s team, along with young engineers, aims to create a quiet, smooth, and thrilling ride philosophy he calls “Be the Wind.”
The bike’s design prioritizes dynamic performance and everyday practicality, featuring a fixed battery pack and CCS2 quick charging compatibility for easy recharging. Extensive real-world testing in Europe ensures reliability and convenience for riders.
