Genesis Turns The Flagship G90 Sedan Into A Wild Performance Wagon
  • Genesis unveiled the G90 Wingback concept at a Magma event in France.
  • The model is a wagon version of the G90 sedan with performance upgrades.
  • It follows the G90 Coupe and Convertible concepts shown earlier this year.

Genesis caught our attention this week with its mid-engined Magma GT concept, presented alongside the production-bound 2027 GV60 Magma performance EV. The pair took center stage at a special event at France’s Circuit Paul Ricard, but they weren’t alone on the grid. Joining them was something rather unexpected, in the form of the G90 Wingback concept.

This newcomer takes the form of a wagon based on the G90 flagship sedan, effectively imagining what a BMW 7-Series Touring, Mercedes-Benz S-Class Estate, or Audi A8 Avant might be if such models existed.

While the idea alone is interesting enough on its own, Genesis couldn’t resist adding a few performance and chassis tweaks from its Magma division to heighten the appeal.

The G90 Wingback follows in the footsteps of the well-received G90 Coupe and Convertible concepts unveiled in April 2025, signaling the brand’s commitment to expanding its top-tier lineup.

As with most wagons, the front end is lifted almost directly from the sedan, meeting a reworked rear section defined by a ducktail spoiler perched above full-width LED taillights and topped off with a roof spoiler.

The G90 WingBack is fitted with a sporty bodykit from Magma, including aggressive bumper intakes, a rear diffuser and dual tailpipes. It also appears to ride on a lowered suspension, with large-diameter wheels shod in performance tires.

Completing the transformation is a full Magma bodykit with larger bumper intakes, a rear diffuser, and twin tailpipes that highlight its performance intent. The stance appears lower, with large alloy wheels wrapped in performance-focused tires filling up the arches.

This is a developing story and will be updated…
