Santa Got Pulled Over And Told The Cop He Was Packing More Than Presents

Santa Got Pulled Over And Told The Cop He Was Packing More Than Presents
  • Santa was pulled over earlier this month for speeding in Ohio.
  • He quickly revealed he was carrying a concealed weapon.
  • The deputy let him off with a warning, after posing for a photo.

Santa might be known for making a list and checking it twice, but even the big man in red isn’t immune to a holiday time crunch. Like everyone else, he’s in a rush with last minute holiday preparations. However, he found himself on the naughty list after getting pulled over for speeding by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio.

In body camera footage released by authorities, you can see Mr. and Mrs. Claus left the sleigh and reindeer at home as they took a Ford EcoSport on a journey through the buckeye state. While that’s quite a downgrade, the deputy was surprised to say the least as he proclaimed Santa!

The surprises didn’t end there as Santa quickly told the deputy he was a CCW holder, meaning he had a permit to carry a concealed weapon. This made the deputy bust out in laughter as the two joked about the absurdity of Chris Kringle needing a concealed weapon.

While Santa’s speed was muted in the video, he was apparently going well over the 55 mph (89 km/h) limit. He didn’t deny it and hopped out of the crossover to hand over his license.

The two talk as the wind blows Santa’s beard into his face. It’s eventually revealed that the couple were going to their daughter’s workplace to spread some holiday cheer.

Thankfully for Santa, the cop gave him a break and said to slow down. Mrs. Claus then snapped a picture of the unlikely encounter and the deputy asked them to e-mail him a copy. Things then ended with a very appropriate goodbye and Merry Christmas.
