Travis Pastrana’s Bentley Drift Film Hides A Few Surprises You Probably Missed

Travis Pastrana’s Bentley Drift Film Hides A Few Surprises You Probably Missed
  • Travis Pastrana drifts sold-out Supersports to show RWD agility.
  • Video car adds hydraulic handbrake to help Pastrana swing it.
  • Heritage Bentleys appear as future EV SUV and EXP15 tease ahead.

Bentley’s cars are known for quiet luxury, effortless speed and polite menace, not their ability to donut a mini-roundabout. But a new video created with car control god Travis Pastrana at the wheel of Bentley’s new rear-wheel drive Supersports is helping change that stuffy image.

More: What Bentley’s Smaller SUV Could Look Like Is Already Stirring Debate

The film, titled Supersports: Full Send, drops Pastrana into Bentley’s Crewe HQ and lets him treat the pristine campus like a personal playground. The result feels equal parts gymkhana tribute, heritage victory lap, and sneaky teaser trailer for what Bentley is cooking next.

No hybrid tech, no front driveshafts

The star is the new Supersports, now rear-wheel drive and packing 656 hp (666 PS) from its non-hybrid, 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8, at a time when the rest of the Continental range is hybrid and all-wheel drive. Pastrana wastes no time proving it can hold long smoky slides, and handle snap transitions, things you don’t expect a Continental coupe to do.

To make it all work, Bentley quietly bent the rules. The filming car gained a hydraulic handbrake, and modifications to the throttle mapping so Pastrana could yank the rear loose and instantly get back on gas. The handbrake is labeled Mildred, a nod to a pedal-to-the-metal real-life ‘Bentley girl’ from the brand’s early days.

Past and future

The setting and background characters matter almost as much as the driving. Pastrana blasts past the Dream Factory and through solar car parks, subtly reminding us of the recent investments made at the Crewe site. Along the way, he encounters heavy hitters from its past, including the Le Mans winner Speed 8, GT3 racers, and pre-war Blowers. The risk assessment and insurance paperwork must have taken out an entire forest.

Bentley also uses the film to wink at the future. A camouflaged Urban SUV appears briefly, hiding Bentley’s first EV in plain sight. Look up and you will spot the EXP15 concept perched on a rooftop, reminding everyone that the brand’s design team is already thinking about where to take the brand next.

It’s a fun film, but if it’s whetted your appetite for the Supersports, you’re out of luck. Production starts late 2026, with deliveries in early 2027, but every one of the 500 units is already spoken for.
