Last year wasn’t a good one in Lewis Hamilton’s racing career as he struggled to get to grips with an underperforming Ferrari. Things are already looking better in 2026, with a more competitive car helping him secure a podium finish in just three races, something he did not manage at all last year.
With momentum building on track, there is also movement in Hamilton’s personal life, as he is now linked to one of the most recognizable figures in the world, Kim Kardashian. To introduce the relationship publicly, while putting his driving skills on display, Hamilton took to the streets of Japan for a Tokyo Drift-inspired reel featuring a Ferrari F40.

Hamilton first appeared in a high-octane clip filmed on the streets of Tokyo four years ago, driving a Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R. Now representing Ferrari, he returned with one of the brand’s most iconic models, visiting well-known locations such as the Daikoku Parking Area. The footage shows him cruising with fellow enthusiasts at night and spinning controlled donuts in the F40.
This Is How To Drive A Ferrari
There’s no word on whether Hamilton owns the F40 featured in this clip, but he clearly knows how to handle its notoriously snappy power delivery, unlike some others.
The seven-time Formula 1 World Champion has long admired the F40. Early last year, shortly after joining Ferrari, he said he wanted to design a road-going model inspired by it. He referred to the idea as the “F44” and suggested it would feature a stick shift. There is still no indication whether Ferrari has approved the concept, or if Hamilton would need to collaborate with an aftermarket company to bring it to life.
