Jeep Bet 100 Free Wranglers The US Can’t Win The World Cup

Jeep Bet 100 Free Wranglers The US Can’t Win The World Cup
  • Jeep is looking to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US in a unique manner.
  • As many as 100 examples of the entry-level 2-Door Sport S will be given away.
  • Jeep has partnered with Iliza Shlesinger to advertise its unusual promotion.

It’s not unusual for car brands to launch intriguing promotional events around major sporting events, but this latest one from Jeep might take the cake. If the US wins the World Cup and your name is George Washington, you could receive a new 2026 Jeep Wrangler.

Any US resident legally named George Washington can sign up on a dedicated website for a shot at winning a Wrangler. Sounds like a deal. It isn’t.

Jeep hands a 2026 Wrangler to each of the first 100 verified registrants only if the US wins the World Cup, and sportsbooks have priced that outcome between +5000 and +6000. Forecasters put the team’s odds at roughly 1.2 percent, the same chance as a coin landing heads seven straight times. Basically, Stellantis built a full ad campaign around a payout it expects never to make.

The terms and conditions for the campaigns state that no spelling variations from the first president of the US’s name will be accepted. Additionally, individuals must have a valid driver’s license listing their name as George Washington. Anyone who is employed by FCA, Stellantis, Highdive Advertising, or any of their companies or subsidiaries, or any of their immediate families, is not eligible to participate.

What Exactly Will Winners Get?

The 2026 Jeep Wrangler models, which could be handed over to winners, will be an entry-level 2-Door Sport S model with an MSRP of $39,685. Vehicles will be delivered with standard equipment, and any options will need to be paid for by the winners. There’s no definitive count of how many people in the United States are named George Washington, but recent estimates put the figure at between 300 and 400.

To help promote the campaign, Jeep has partnered with comedian Iliza Shlesinger on a 60-second commercial that will air across social media and television.

“As the world turns its eyes to soccer this summer and America competes on the global stage, we’re celebrating it the Jeep way, patriotically, playfully and with a nod to the name that shaped a nation,” Stellantis global chief marketing officer Olivier François said. “As America’s most patriotic brand, tying America’s victory to the country’s founding father and original trailblazer gives 100 of our fans another unexpected reason to cheer.”
