Dodge has already told us its working on a couple of hotter combustion Chargers, including one that debuts in a few weeks’ time, and a newly surfaced video making the rounds online might is tipped to be our first sighting of at least one of them.

The short clip posted to the TK’s Garage YouTube and Instagram accounts appears to show two different types of Charger prototype parked in a Stellantis lot that don’t quite match anything currently available in showrooms.
Two Prototypes That Don’t Match Anything In Showrooms
The first car, painted in metallic red, has a new kind of front fascia with a different bumper and reshaped air intakes compared with today’s production R/T and Scat Pack Chargers. It’s also missing the transverse light bar linking the DRLs under the headlights, and the flat roof profile makes us think it might have a carbon skin, like an M3.
A second prototype (and there are at least two of them in the lot) appears to have a stock front end, but it is dressed in a motorsport-style multicolor wrap. And this one has “Powered by SRT” written in giant letters on a full-width sun strip at the top of the windshield. We wonder if these wrapped cars could be stunt cars for the upcoming Roadkill Nights show.
We can tell both the plain and liveried cars are combustion-powered and not Charger Daytona EVs because of the wide cooling slot in the front bumper and the shape of the bulged hood. And Dodge has already confirmed that a more powerful Charger Sixpack will debut at Roadkill Nights in August. The company says it will be the most potent Hurricane-powered Charger yet, meaning it will produce more than the 550 hp (558 PS) offered by the current Scat Pack.
That could explain the non-wrapped prototype. A revised front fascia, bigger wheels, and a more aggressive stance would make perfect sense for a range-topping inline-six performance model designed to bridge the gap between today’s cars and something even more extreme.
The Hellcat’s Return
And yes, we also know something more extreme is coming. Dodge has made no secret about the return of the Hellcat, or that it’s bringing a supercharged Hemi V8 back to the Charger lineup. Reports suggest the flagship model will carry SRT branding, a dramatic Superbird-inspired rear wing, and more than 700 hp (710 PS).
Unfortunately, the video only shows the spied cars from the front, so there’s no way to check for other telltale details. For now, all we can say with confidence is that these Chargers look angrier than anything currently on sale.
Whether we’re seeing the upcoming Sixpack flagship, an early Hellcat, or something else entirely, Dodge clearly isn’t finished turning up the volume on its reborn muscle car. But will Dodge fans who can’t stretch to the upcoming Hellcat Charger flagship care, or would they – as TK Garage suggests – rather have a Hemi V8, even if it made less power than the Hurricane Six?
